Urut Batin KL – For the 3rd in this series of reports on Urut Batin/Manhood Massage, we head north to Malaysia, specifically in the suburbs of KL, in Puchong (To see the first 2 reports please see Massage Report 1; Massage Report 2). Urut Kampong is a home based massage provider owned by proprietor Mr Mohd. Services provided include Urut Batin/Manhood Massage as well as more traditional forms of therapy like Traditional Malay Massage as well as offerings from Traditional Chinese Medicine in the form of Foot Reflexology as well as Scraping Therapy (“Gua Sha” – Involving scraping of the skin with a blunt instrument to stimulate blood flow ) as well as Traditional “Cupping” Therapy (where the practitioner uses glass cups – which together with a created vacuum, sucks up the flesh/skin which is believed to benefit blood flow and/or the flow of internal energy or Qi – as per the belief of Urut Batin/Manhood Massage – see the following link).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Massage Studio: Mr Mohd’s studio is located on the 2nd floor of his terrace home in suburban Puchong. It is a neat little room with a mattress on the floor and an attached bathroom with shower/bathroom for clients to change in (Mr Mohd offers a shower after the massage should clients require). The room is Spartan but comfortable with a shelf full of materials on Traditional Medicine and charts of Human Reflexology and Accupressure points prominently displayed on the walls, reflecting the therapeutic nature of his practice.

The Massage: Mr Mohd provided me with a towel to change into for the massage and I was thereafter invited to lie on the mattress on the floor, for the massage proper. Unlike in the previous 2 reports where the therapists made use of longer gentler strokes for the body massage portion of the Urut Batin/Manhood massage, Mr Mohd’s style is characterized by strong emphasis on manipulation of the body’s reflexology and acupressure points. Particular emphasis is placed on points that relate to sexual function and/or believed in Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to benefit organs related to sexual function such as quite obviously the penis, testicles, prostate and kidneys but also other parts of the body such as the central nervous system and important muscle groups such as the back and buttock muscles. Mr Mohd explains that therapy to these areas of the body will maintain these muscle groups for the act of sexual intercourse (eg to facilitate thrusting motions for example).

Mr Mohd mixes in strokes from traditional Malay massage to the TCM strokes to create flow and continuity in the massage sequence. The focus however is still more on the TCM strokes which target the reflexology/acupressure points in the following areas in particular – The feet (reflexology); ankles; hands; back/spinal area; buttock area trigger points. I find that the massage strokes are very strong – pretty much like what you get when you get a say TCM massage for example – perhaps even painful especially when it comes to massage of the feet. The genital portion of the Urut Batin/Manhood massage is a relatively small part of the overall massage, with emphasis on the lower abdominal area, the inner thighs, perineum area; testicles as well as the shaft of the penis.

 

Verdict: There is a strong emphasis on traditional therapeutic methods in Mr Mohd’s massage. While parts of the massage may be uncomfortable like the foot reflexology portion which is very strong like in a TCM massage, the overall intention is to improve the client’s health and well being. I don’t know how he could tell but Mr Mohd, managed to identify certain health issues that I faced/face – I guess it is perhaps due to his training in techniques relating to traditional medicine, I will certainly recommend Mr Mohd’s services serious about the therapeutic benefits of traditional or Urut batin massage.
